The Open Badge Factory can be connected to Priima to create, issue and manage Open Badge open badges. Open Badges can be used to identify and recognize competences or skills. Open Badge Factory is a service certified by IMS Global (complying with version 2.0 of the standard) and its badges can also be used as certified digital certificates.

When the connection is enabled, the system will open the Access Key field. The necessary access key can be found in Open Badge Factory’s Admin tools.
The access key is created in Open Badge Factory’s Admin Tools’ API section. Create the key by clicking on the Generate certificate signing request token link, after which you copy and attach the key to Access Key field in Priima. Please note that the access key is disposable and only valid for ten minutes after creation.
The rules for issuing open badges are managed in the Performance rules section of the course settings. All course managers are able to use open badges in courses.
By default, the access key is valid for three years after connection. If necessary, the key can be removed by clicking the Remove Key button. Priima will issue a prompt that if the OBF license expires, user profile will no longer show any badges.
