The course content pages may have one or more column of different blocks with different content types. A course content page may include, for example:
There may be assignments in the course area that are voluntary or mandatory. These assignments usually belong to the following content types:
- follow-up block (marked as completed according to instruction)
- individual or group turn-in assignment (turned in as a file and/or text editor content)
- test (multiple choice, open question)
Text blocks may also contain links. Regarding links, please note that, depending on the settings chosen by the content producer, they may open either in the same window or in a new window. If the link opens in the same window, you can return with your browser’s Back button.
Tip: Content blocks in a course may be mandatory even if they do not necessarily have a turn-in assignment. For example, a video block may be mandatory, in which case it must be marked as completed/viewed.
