If your organization’s Priima environment uses open badges, you may receive one or more badges during a course for completing its chapters or the course itself. Your earned open badges are shown in your profile and the My Results screen, in the Open Badges column.
Here it is worth noting that the open badges are not necessarily used at all in your learning environment.
What’s an open badge?
Open badges can be used to identify and recognize competences. An open badge is a digital image that contains metadata. That metadata contains information on the issuer of the badge and the criteria used to identify the competences, achievements and even attitudes of the recipient. Open Badge is a trusted open testimonial that contains verified evidence of learning.
Your own open badges can also be uploaded to the Open Badge Passport. Open Badge Passport is an easy-to-use service where you can receive and store Open Badges, and share them with whoever you want and whenever you want. The service is free for individuals.
