The course content editor has an Import Content from File feature that allows you to easily and quickly access the contents of files for the course as content blocks. The contents of the files are copied to the image and text blocks during import. If the file contains links, they work directly on the content page. The contents of one file form one content page. Depending on the original file format and the formatting used in it, the text content becomes one or more blocks of text.
The file import function can be found in the course content editor on the content page: Add Content > Import Content from File.
The image below shows an example of a Word file imported for a Priima course, ie the text content is on the content page in the Text Content block:

On the content page, you can arrange the blocks as you wish after importing by always clicking the transfer icon in the upper right corner of the block and choosing where on the page you want to move the block. You can also change the layout layout of a content page in the page settings.
